We are taking on a 24-hour “Big Day” challenge across the Denver metro area and foothills to see and identify as many bird species as possible during spring migration. We’ll be visiting wetlands, rivers, grasslands, and mountain habitats in support of bird conservation and community science.
Birdathon helps raise awareness of the incredible diversity of birds found in our area while also raising funds to support Denver Audubon’s conservation and education programs that connect people with birds and protect the habitats they depend on.
Please help us support Denver Audubon by making a contribution to our team and sharing this page with your family and friends. Every dollar we raise will advance Denver Audubon's great cause!
Together, we can make a difference!
MAY 15
By looking every which way, we managed to find exactly 100 different speices across multiple habitats =)
Going until we couldn't even see AND THEN SOME, we were all rewarded with a lifer! That Common Poorwill was begging to be discovered.
We scanned the lakes, surveyed the rocks and reeds, scoured the riparian zones, and ventured up in elevation to cover as many habitats as we could!
MAY 8
Remembering our outting in 2024! 102 species. What will we find this year?
